I had a fun time playing this game, and I'm looking forward to further development if that's on its way!

The gameplay loop was enjoyable, if a bit simple, with the sea exploration and boat upgrades being enough to keep me hooked. I liked the idea of having to navigate the boat at the same time as I had to move across the ship, so was slightly disappointed when I couldn't use that mechanic so much. The resource management could probably be explored more as well, being able to use the randomness of each crate's contents as a way to force strategisation.

I could talk more, but overall I agree with the previous commenter that this game has great potential. I can imagine a fully fledged game with more sound effects, more tiers and upgrades, more exploration across the ship and ocean, maybe a minimap, maybe even a plot.

(Oh yeah, I also liked the little guy on the boat. Cute :))

1 Michelin star to you 🌟

This game is life-changing. Completely made me reconsider my lifestyle and diet. Honestly, I wish it came out sooner, before I lost my firstborn to hungry man-eating ants, because then I would have known how to satiate their hunger with polystyrene.

But in all honesty, it's a good starting point for a potentially very fun and engaging indie game. However, at its current state, it leaves much to be desired.

Cons:

- I was stuck on the tutorial for a good while, because I didn't know how to exit the upgrade screen, until I eventually saw the 'x' button hidden behind the tutorial text.

- Lack of sounds causes the game to feel less responsive.

- UI was very basic leaving the game feeling very unfinished.

- No map to determine where the closest island is, leaving to wander randomly until you find one, if you didn't pay attention to where they were in the beginning.

Pros:

- Nice design of ghost ships and sharks.

- Islands and water are very pretty.

- Gameplay is fun and simple.

Overall... has great potential. I will not be leaving a score out of 10, as it seems to harsh for an unfinished project, and I would love to see them finish it.
